We know coffee is a necessity for many of you in the early morning (or to get through a long day or night), so we’ve compiled a list of our favorite downtown Houston coffee shops. It’s one of the great things about Houston – no matter what you’re looking for you’ll always have plenty of options to choose from. We love that our Houston luxury apartments keep us all so close to all these great spots – many of which are walking distance.
Check out a few of our staff’s favorite downtown Houston coffee shops (along with tips on what to order!):
Ellie really enjoys an iced Americano type of morning to get her day started just right. She goes to Starbucks - the one located inside of the Westin Hotel Downtown Hotel, which is directly across the street from 500 Crawford!
Taylor and Josh have similar thoughts on nearby coffee shops, and theirs is at Boomtown Coffee. They love the vanilla latte and Chai tea and say the service at Boomtown is the best around. They’ve also been known to bump into a resident or two while there! This coffee shop is so popular, they even have a second location in the Heights, which isn’t too far from our downtown Houston apartments. Come here for coffee or indulge in beer, wine, cocktails or breakfast or lunch!
Christal is a big fan of simply a vanilla latte from our complimentary coffee machine in the Morning Room. She’s says it’s the best people watching room at 500 Crawford and is a great start to her day!
Other downtown Houston coffee spots:
Italian coffee lovers flock to Minuti Coffee, which serves a great selection of coffee and a decent selection of tasty bites. Louie Coffee is a new spot in GreenStreet, close to 500 Crawford. They have tasty breakfast tacos and make a great place to meet friends or conduct a business meeting thanks to their ambience. Tout Suite is a major fan favorite, located in EaDo (East Downtown), with a massive menu (including an impressive selection of macarons) and a great local vibe. Stop there for late morning coffee with your laptop in hand or come in the afternoon for a snack to satisfy your sweet tooth.
